Desktop EDA, established in 1996, is a company specialising in software for the electronics and mechanical design industries. The company initially focused on developing enhancements to the Protel suite of EDA tools. The first product was an AutoCAD translator for Protel.

Desktop EDA has since developed a comprehensive suite of products to meet customer requirements that are innovative, easy to use and affordable.

Recent achievements include:

• SolidWorks Gold product status for the SolidWorks IDF Modeler product
• Inventor 10 Certification for the Inventor IDF Modeler product
• Member of the Autodesk Developer Network
• Solid Edge Voyager partner.
