Free Utilities for Altium Designer

Desktop EDA provides a set of free tools for the Altium Designer PCB Editor. These are some of our internal tools or functions we think users will find to be useful.

This tool includes commands to:

• Find/delete duplicate objects
• Find/delete zero length tracks and arcs
• Copy the Board Shape to a mechanical layer
• Copy the Board Shape to the Keepout layer
• Select enclosed shape (useful for moving split planes)
• Join arcs at their intersection
• Name mechanical layers from a list in an ASCII file
• Convert Text to True Type Font - and maintain the size
• Jump the cursor to the centre of Arcs, Circles, Tracks and Fills.
• Toggle Draft Mode using Ctrl + D

These are available in a sub menu in the PCB Editor Tools menu.
